Production Lead

Location: GH Foods Green Cove Springs, FL


The Production Lead will work with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient and accurate label production. This position also provides organizational support and is responsible for a variety of other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager. In addition, the Production Control Lead will print labels as well as anticipate and address issues within the office including operational, scheduling and mechanical.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient label production according to company policy.
  • Schedule Production Control personnel to ensure labels are printed when needed.
  • Assist and print labels to meet production goals
  • Assist in monitoring of inventory levels
  • Report any mechanical problems with computers or printers
  • Maintain Office Files & Spreadsheets
  • Write Memos, Letters and documents as necessary
  • Data Entry
  • Clerical Support to Office Managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Office Managers

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities limited to scheduling and delegating tasks. Discipline, if necessary, will be handled by Production Manager or Operations Manager.

  • Must have some experience and skilled in the use of programs such as MS Word and Excel
  • Minimum one year office administrative support experience is preferred.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills both oral and written.

Education/Experience Level, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Previous experience in writing and recording technical data is preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.   • Physical hazards of working in and about moving machinery.
